But the kind of girl problems I'm gonna talk about today though are the ones that only girls can have. Also sex is mentioned in this article, if you are innocent-eyed and minded—please press the back button before I get in trouble with your parents.Periods are typically uncomfortable, messy, smelly, and sometimes painful. For women with hormonal imbalances that cause problems with it, periods can be even worse. And it makes it hard to tell when there could actually be a problem because every woman is different—so that means... every woman's period is different.

Does He Really Hear Me?
Fourteen and innocent, life was never easy. From raising my younger brother, to managing bills, dinner, and basically any wifely/motherly duties, life for me as a 14-year-old girl was from far from average. Being raised in a "God fearing" family I knew in my mind that the way I lived wasn't normal, or right. But still I said nothing. His voice in my mind with that heart wrenching threat that I swore at the time I would take to the grave. Everyone around me could see the issues but wouldn't dare ask questions because they too feared what might come from questioning his "intentions."

So as a young girl, I was always hairier than the other girls and a little chubbier too. My mum used to make passing jokes about me being her little gorilla, which was funny I guess... until I became a teenager. I remember being about 12 and finally starting my period. I was rather excited to finally be "becoming a woman." All was going well until I turned 13 and started having periods once every three months (if that). I felt like I’d been stripped of my womanhood. But ah well, not a big deal, right?
