Things We Didn't Learn in School
Things we didn't learn in school... "A lot" is two words. It's not one. Your job title doesn't define who you are. Most people go into careers that they don't truly enjoy just to make good money. Many people become attached to their job title, thinking their job title determines who they are. However, you are much more than the job you hold. A job title doesn't even begin to describe your true identity. It literally just tells other idiots what you do to make an income. Your character does a much better job of portraying who you are.

Living Life in a Bubble
Have you ever found yourself on social media comparing your life to everyone else's life? There's that friend who married their high school sweetheart with three kids, the party goer who's always at every social event. Then there are those people who never left their hometown who never really post a whole lot. But my favourite to follow is that friend who is travelling the world, living life to the fullest, taking every opportunity that comes their way.

Charities
Whom to give to? Everybody wants donations. Church? Private schools? The poor? Those sad-eyed dogs on TV? What is behind some donations? A leg up, perhaps? This is where my world turns black and white. Donating money is serious business for me. I don't have a lot, but when I give—I give with my heart. Donating to private schools and pet projects is all well and good, but these are not what you think of when you hear the word "charity."

5 Reasons You Should Consider Long Term Volunteering
Growing up, I volunteered at local soup kitchens, domestic violence shelters, school events, and community service projects. The best part is nobody made me, I chose to volunteer my time for good causes. In this day and age most people send money to organizations or projects they support and while that's great and surely appreciated, people who can't donate financially can donate something just as important and needed- their time!

How To Change Your World
We all want to make the world a better place (except on those days where we wouldn't mind watching it burn, either), but such a concept seems impossible and nostalgic, at best. Corruption, fraud, human selfishness, and an endless cycle of pain often seem to crush any effort to try and stop the sky from falling, and the political and spiritual leaders who say they are here to help often end up doing us more harm than good. However, I'm not here to sell snake oil or tell you of a balm from some middle eastern shore, but I am here to say that there is a way for you to make a real and lasting difference in the world. That is. Your world.

Change Is One Decision Away
Have you ever looked at your life and wondered... “How did I get here?” or better yet, “How do I get out of this insanity that I’ve created for myself?” Don’t you wish you could just change it all? Well, the good news is, you are only one decision away from change.

Just Do It
"If you can't beat fear, do it scared." Lately I have been forcing myself to do the little ideas I get in my head that I usually shy away from; the things that are not hard to do; the things that just seem pointless or silly because no one else is doing it. When in reality I could be the leader in the situation and truly encourage human beings to step out of their shells and go ahead and do what makes them so them. I can imagine you’re wondering, “what in the hell is she talking about?” So I’m going to give some examples.

// BEING (Almost) 18 //
Wow. It's almost here. I'm 2 days away from being 18 and I don't know how to feel. I know that more opportunities are going to come my way in life and I know that more things are going to open up for me—my world is my oyster at this point. But still. More responsibilities. More time to manage.
