A Simple Solution When Life Feels Overwhelming
A Gentle Reminder From Your Guardian Angels

Somewhere between New Year’s resolutions and our birthdays, we all quietly dare to ask ourselves that special question: Am I living the life I dreamed of when I was young?
Or did the pressure of the outer world, the one we call “reality,” slowly catch up with us until we found ourselves half content, half exhausted, running in a hamster wheel somewhere between hope and despair? What happened to our goals, our vision boards, our beautiful dreams?
Not to mention the many affirmations and life-hacks we learned, hoping they would quietly cover up the fears that rise inside us after watching the news every day.
Yes, the many meditation techniques are truly amazing when we are living in a calm monastery, far away from the noise of the city and the pressure at work. But most of us are running between our jobs, family responsibilities, and the daily realities of life. And I feel you so deeply when you say it: everything seems easier when money is flowing in, when everything feels under control and safe.
But as time passes by, we all come to learn that sometimes there is a quiet gap between the plans we so carefully made and the way things actually turned out. And in the last few years, we have learned something else together: things can change so much faster than we ever imagined.
Today, more people find themselves face to face with fear, because the speed and scale of these changes seem to whisper one unsettling message again and again: there are so many things out there we simply cannot control. The news these days reminds us of this more often than our hearts can comfortably hold.
And yes, I feel you so deeply when you say that — it can feel truly scary. The truth is, it stirs up something we all try so hard not to feel: vulnerable.
Vulnerability is that quiet feeling that hums in the background for so many of us, creating a low level of stress we barely notice until the news gets louder. Then that sense of vulnerability rises right along with it, becoming almost impossible to ignore.
And in those moments, we naturally reach for ways to cover it up, to escape it, to distract ourselves from it. Because one thing we truly all share, no matter who we are: we do not want to feel vulnerable. Not physically, not emotionally, not financially, and not in any other way our hearts can imagine.
And this is the exact moment when our very human survival instinct kicks in. We start searching for solutions to feel in control again, and when we can’t quite find them, we begin overcompensating for that tender feeling of vulnerability. Often, we do this by making more plans, chasing new strategies, reaching for anything that feels like solid ground. And just like that, we find ourselves back in that hamster wheel, running with all our might.
While this is a normal and even healthy human reaction, let us be careful here. Because in those moments of stress, something quietly dangerous happens in the human mind: stress collapses our perception.
No matter whether it is a situation in our private life or at work, when we are stressed, afraid, and under high pressure, the deeper our sense of vulnerability grows, the more our perception narrows.
And you know what follows: in those tight, narrowed moments, we tend to make decisions that do not serve us. Sometimes we only see the full truth later, after we have had time to breathe, to rest, and to think clearly about the whole situation. And when that clarity arrives, the regret can feel heavy.
No, I am not going to offer you advice wrapped in super-complicated techniques or decorated with flashy new words for stress-management strategies.
I will only share with you my own simple way of moving through those truly stressful moments. It is one of the most natural, most gentle things we can do — something that will help lower your blood pressure and calm your nervous system in the most effortless way possible: whenever you feel completely stressed out and right at the edge of that high pressure, step back and go for a walk in nature. Leave the house. Leave the building. Just go outside.
Find a nice green park, walk around slowly, observe nature unfolding all around you. Let the wind blow gently through your hair, breathe in the fresh air, look at the soft colors of the flowers, and feel the earth beneath your feet. Take a deep breath.
See, you already feel a little better just by reading these lines and imagining yourself walking in a beautiful green park. Good.
No need for complicated or special stress-management techniques. Because nature is your best, most gentle place to ground yourself, to reconnect with your natural instincts, and to quietly recharge your whole being.
Yes, life changes. The world changes. The economy changes. Relationships change. And so do you. You change because you learn. You change because of everything you have lived through and experienced. We all do. We change because we must adapt to the countless shifts happening all around us. And through it all, we are all doing the very best we can.
And trying to keep up with all those changes is already hard enough for most of us. This is exactly why I am not going to offer you new techniques to learn or anything more complicated to add to your plate.
But in the middle of all those situations of change, there is one gentle, beautiful piece of good news you can hold on to: wherever you are, close to where you are right now, there is always a green park waiting — with beautiful trees, a quiet bench to sit on, and a soft space to reconnect with your heart and your Soul.
Yes, some days we may feel truly overwhelmed. But even then, you can choose with quiet strength not to let those moments take away your joy of life. You can decide to respond instead with the deep confidence that your heart is strong, and that your Soul will always guide you gently forward. Believe in yourself.
You are never alone. Because remember: you do have a Guardian Angel with you, always by your side. Maybe you forgot about that spiritual helper for a while, but he stayed faithfully with you even when you could not feel his presence.
Today, your Guardian Angel wants so gently to help you remember your inner strength — and also that you can ask for his help anytime you need it. And if that memory had grown quiet inside you, he has lovingly arranged for you to find and read this, so you can once again remember that your Soul is divine. And because it is divine, you can always ask the Angels to help you, inspire you, and gently guide you.
Sending you Love and healing Light,
Jeanne
