Alex Jones: Greatest Comedian of Our Generation
"Loud, rude, obnoxious, abusive, terrorist, insane..." These are the words people use to describe Alex Jones: the Greatest comedian of our generation. What makes Alex Jones's brand of comedy so hilarious is the ridiculous claims he makes on his hit comedy show, InfoWars. The radio show premise is about Alex Jones, “a unique voice that sifts through the information and exposes the underlying intentions.” Truly gospel for those looking for the greatest of laughs.

'Airplane!': A Lesson in Comedy
What makes a great comedy film? Loads of laughs, obviously. But how do writers, directors, and actors make us laugh? Airplane! (1980), probably the greatest comedy movie ever created, sets the gold standard for comedy (and especially parody) movies with an unbelievable range of comedic elements.

Chris Rock Wants to Slaughter White Children
So, let’s talk about Chris Rock’s New Netflix Special. In this special, he said "I want to live in a world with real equality. I want to live in a world where an equal amount of white kids are shot every month. An equal world. I want to see white mothers on TV crying." Edgy? Definitely! Offensive? Maybe. Racist? No. Did he mean it? No.

Sophocles' 'Antigone' Told Through GIFs From 'Parks and Rec'
If you've been assigned to read Antigone for a class, you may be looking for an easy way to understand it. The following is a (very simplified) explanation. Of course, I encourage you to read the play itself, but this may help you out with the general plot so you can spend more time on analysis.

Why 'The Room' Is the Weirdest, But Most Watchable Movie I've Ever Seen. Top Story - January 2018.
I did not watch The Room! It's not true! It's bulls**t! I did not watch it! I did naaaahhhhhht....okay, fine, I did. Back in 2003, Tommy Wiseau wrote, directed, produced, and starred in his own independent film, The Room. And this film has become more relevant recently as a result of the James Franco film, The Disaster Artist, which shows the story of the film being made.

Being a Professional Screwball: Getting the Gig, Keeping the Gig, and the Best Advice I Ever Got
If you are reading this you probably relate to all 3: I had a great set, I'm feeling great, I'm want this again. Comedy all day every day. I had a bad set, I should probably quit, I'm never good at anything, hey at least the telephone poles are on my side of the street, I could just end it with one turn of this car. I don't really want to die, and definitely not on stage. How do I get better and get more gigs?

Why 'Grace and Frankie' Is the Best Comedy Show Out There at the Moment
As someone from Britain with a very British sense of humour (and yes that's humour with a U) I have always preferred British comedy to American comedy. Whilst I have enjoyed American comedies, I've found over the years that they are severely lacking something fresh and distinctly funny. Shows like The Big Bang Theory just aren't cutting it anymore. Enter Grace and Frankie, the Netflix comedy. Discovered through complete boredom, it may be the best TV decision I ever made. Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, Grace and Frankie is the story of two women in their '70s whose husbands come out as gay and have fallen in love with each other. We follow Grace and Frankie, who move in together, and see their personalities clash but also get a glimpse into the lives of the two ex-husbands Robert and Sol and all their children.

'She's Gotta Have It' (*Spoiler Alert*)
Talk about turning the tables! Nola Darling, the main character in Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It, gives us self-determined feministic "I make my own rules" vibes. This Netflix addition is based on the movie version Lee had directed in 1986 (which I didn't watch). Fast forward 31 years later, this storyline has resurfaced with a modern twist. There is so much to talk about, but I'm going to focus on Nola in relation to her three lovers, Brooklyn as a person, and the culture of art.
