Infant Naturale 002
A few years before I drew this larger scale drawing on stretched Canson paper in 1995, Madonna (the entertainer: love her or hate her!), published a modest book that was 128 pages long. The tome weighted in at (it seemed to me) at about six to seven kilograms, and had luck would have it, my local Canberra School of Art Library had a beautiful copy of it on their yellow varnished MDF standard “New Books” shelf, in 1995. It was covered in a PET Mylar bag, had a one pound US aluminium front cover and was spiral ringbound. If ever there was a statement that alternative sexuality and lifestyle had come of age, it was this!

To make illustrations, start from these sites
The biggest headache for illustrators is to find material inspiration. Today everyone is very lucky, young, to share together. These websites are rich in themes, different themes, diverse in styles, and updated quickly. You can enjoy the excellent works of illustrators from all over the world, and see how big the brains of others are, and I believe that inspiration will continue to flow.

Infant Naturale
Whilst chatting to a fellow volunteer at Braemar Gallery in Springwood NSW, (a small village of about five thousand people in the Blue Mountains, Australia) today, I showed him this, a small watercolour I pained during my last year of university. Twenty-six years ago, I was studying at the Australian National University in sleepy Canberra, and I was obsessed with horses, or Horses as I insisted to write about the quadrupeds in those pre-Corona Virus and even pre-Olympic days.

Processing My Feelings through Basquiat.. Top Story - September 2020.
Jean Michel Basquiat was a graffiti artist who gained notoriety in the 1980s for his gritty neo-expressionist style. Neo-expressionism is a style of art that communicates vivid and jarring images which often leaves viewers feeling a sense of tension, alienation and ambiguity. Jean Michel Basquiat's work focused on the internal struggle that we can all relate to in this pandemic.

My Accidental Disney Tattoo
I remember being thirteen years old, sat in Mathematics and drawing up all the tattoos I planned to get done as soon as I was old enough. Most people can't wait to turn eighteen so they can go out clubbing or drinking but all I wanted was to get covered in artwork. I had plans for sleeves and themed pieces, all planned down to the finest of details.
