Old people-Old times
Handmade wind chimes
Kids in the street, spinning wheels
Sharing four candies bought with a dime
-
-
Old people - Pure delight
Carved paintings, peace and quiet
Nanny, Kingdom tales all night
Aunts gossips on neighbour's fight
-
Old people - warm beat
Sitting together near one heat
Receiving guests seemed a treat
Cottage looked wealthier than a suite
Author's note;
Old times were golden when people relied on each other and less on the materialistic world. I still wish to time-travel and go back to old times when I could enjoy the real essence of life.

Awww! Old gems✨ This poem beautifully captures the charm and warmth of simpler times. I love how it paints vivid pictures of close-knit communities and the joy found in small, meaningful moments. It reminds me of how priceless those genuine connections are, something we often forget in today’s fast-paced world but 'Aunts gossips on neighbour's fight' is still their 😄 and I think so it won't go anywhere. It made me wish I could experience that nostalgia too, where life seemed richer in the little things. Your words bring such comfort!
What a poignant and deep poem you’ve written, sister. How do you think of such things? Every line you’ve written takes me on a journey to the old times- Just for me, grandmother's stories instead of nanny's tales. I haven’t visited my nanny's house much, but my grandmother lives with us, and I’ve heard many stories from her. Should I write and publish my favorite story that I heard from my grandmother here? What do you think? But you do this: I want to read the story told by your Nanny.
