"Morning Scripture"
To the best Christian I know, no one has ever been a better Christian than you and no one ever will.

You say your faith makes you superior
and you act like you can judge
You talk about rules against condemning
and then condemn with every grudge
✝️
You claim you live by scripture
yet you use it to accuse
You point at everyone else's faults
but never question what you choose
✝️
You called only when you needed help
and took more than I bestowed
I gave you money, time, and housing
and you still act like it was owed
✝️
You say you care about family
but you leave when things get real
I have stayed through every crisis
while you ignore the way I feel
✝️
You present yourself as blameless
and you never take the fall
I was always there for you
but you weren't there for me at all
✝️
You tell people you're suffering
and that no one will stay
but I showed up for all of your kids
and you kept pushing me away
✝️
You call yourself the victim
and you say I cause the fight
but I just held you accountable
and you still insist you're right

I wanted to say something, because I relate so much, but nothing comes to mind, Fantastic rendering of this shituation
Ugh, I dislike people like this so much. But unfortunately, my aunt is like that. So annoying! Loved your poem!
I know these people well. I wrote a poem called Judged Mental on the same subject. Well written and so real!!!
Dynamite delivery! Let em know sis! The title of this piece is genius btw! :)
It’s funny how story teller is always the one history creator, have you not noticed…this “I did not do nothing!” pattern of “morals” 😁it kills me every time😅🤣
Quite a friend if knowing you this well ;) this one is a keeper!
I’ve known people like that, who claim faith as a label and a shield, all to obscure their narcissism. Sorry you know somebody like that. But this poem stands as a quite a takedown! An admonishment set to rhyme and rhythm. Nicely done :)
Hypochristians. Can’t tolerate them.
