I wish I could tell you...

I love you, but you love someone else

I wish I could tell you...

But my lips are sealed with a secret,

A secret so sacred, the silence is kept.

I wish I could tell you...

But I know it would hurt you,

For your own protection, I'll keep this to my death.

...

Still I wish I could tell you...

But I'm the sun and you're the sea,

The moon makes me jealous when it connects with your tide.

I wish I could tell you...

The emotions I'm feeling,

But fire melts ice, so I'll keep it inside.

...

I wish I could tell you...

I'll be the butter, and you'll be the bread,

But you're lactose intolerant, you use margarine instead.

Oh I wish I could tell you...

I won't ever share,

My heart lost it's blood, my lungs lost it's air.

...

I really wish I could tell you...

But that ships overseas,

The letters still in my hand, it never got mailed.

I wish I could tell you...

That I'm happy you found love,

But since you found it with him, my hearts been impaled.
