He'll Never Understand

He’ll Never Understand
Verse 1
He woke up one morning to an empty side of bed,
Her closet stripped to nothing, not a word left to be said.
He stood there in the silence like the world had done him wrong,
Never saw it coming, though the truth had screamed so long.
Verse 2
He swears he gave her everything a woman ought to want,
A house, a car, a paycheck, and a life he liked to flaunt.
But he never heard her heartbreak, never noticed when she cried,
Too busy loving his reflection to see her dying inside.
Chorus
He’ll never understand why she walked out that door,
Why the woman who once loved him couldn’t love him anymore.
He thinks she had it easy, thinks she threw away a dream,
But he never gave her nothin’ but the space to go unseen.
Verse 3
No birthday gifts or flowers, not a card on Valentine’s,
Just promises of a tomorrow that kept falling out of line.
She waited for a gesture, just a moment he could give,
But he saved all of his effort for the life he liked to live.
Chorus
He’ll never understand why she walked out that door,
Why the woman who once loved him couldn’t love him anymore.
He thinks she had it easy, thinks she threw away a dream,
But he never gave her nothin’ but the space to go unseen.
Bridge
He tells the boys at work she left for reasons he can’t name,
But deep down in the quiet, he knows he’s the one to blame.
Still he’ll rewrite the story giving her all the fault,
’Cause a man like him can’t face the truth he never saw.
Twist Ending – Verse 4
She’s laughing in a diner with a man who brings her flowers,
A man who listens closely, stays for more than just the hours.
And he’ll hear it through the grapevine, how she finally found her peace—
But he’ll swear she must’ve changed, ’cause his ego needs release.
Final Chorus
He’ll never understand why she walked out that door,
Why the woman who once loved him couldn’t love him anymore.
He thinks she had it easy, thinks she threw away a dream,
But he never gave her nothin’ but the space to go unseen.
