Departure from Reality

Lost in Colors and Patterns

Doodling and dawdling ,

I depart from reality.

Swirls of peridot,

Tangerine skies,

Ruby leaf trees,

And butterscotch rivers.

Could I stay here longer?

Tracing new patterns?

I know I must return,

Only to dream of this again,

Never letting it fade.
