Including what is not inside there

The keys of the piano have dust on them.

The gray coat beautifully blends with the black and white teeth.

You are resting in another room.

Inhaling in the thick rhythm of sleep.

that doesn't arrive on this shore.

I measured the cracks of the roof plaster.

Following the parched lines similar to maps of rivers.

The lease ends in August.

I can hear the house settling because it's so quiet.

the wood creaking beneath winter's heavy weight.

I touch the edges of my coffee cup.

ceramic feels warmth against a cold palm.

Take your time about this.

There’s only the slow drift of afternoon light.

Moving all over the floor.

We will eventually awaken again.

We will prepare dinner. We shall talk.

For the time being, the dust keeps falling.

Hiding the things we do not say, addressing lack of sound

Masking the things we do not say.

Blackout

Well written. It's so cool how a line that doesn't belong can actually say so much and be so fitting to the parts that it stands out from. Nicely done.
