1/4/2026 When I wrote this I was searching for a title and I happened across this song by Demi Lovato and it spoke to how I feel when I write. It feels like I'm screaming into the void and none hear me. My words are taking forever to land but I am hoping light years from now, I will be famous (LOL). And people will look back and wonder what the author was thinking. Unintentionally, when I recite this verbally or in my head, if read as rap-it works best after the 7th line and after "persecutions" the last 8 lines read in contemplation-or read any way you like. I'm just the writer.

It was 2027, and the world never thought it would happen. A missle hit the United States, but it wasn't where they had anticipated. A little town in the northeast was hit by a missile strike, they didn't know why, and they didn't know exactly where it hit, but they did know it was a coastal community, somewhere between Maine and Delaware.
